Welcome to CCSS
We are an independent sixth form college, specialising in a wide range of GCSE and A-Level courses, located in the world-renowned city of Cambridge.
We have approximately 200 students mainly aged between 15-21. Over half live in our own Boarding Houses(staffed 24/7 and located close to the centre of Cambridge). Our boarders consist of students from around the UK and up to 40 overseas countries.
The remainder live within a 50 mile radius of the city.
Our teaching is a collaborative and shared learning experience, which fosters focus and motivation, and creates a very productive and exciting schooling environment for every student. Our class sizes are less than half the average for the independent sector in the UK, at around 5-6 students in each.
We pride ourselves on being a college offering a ‘pathway to university’ giving students support and guidance to ensure they are well prepared in all aspects of university application. The success of our students means the great majority go onto university in the UK or elsewhere with many enjoying success at Cambridge, Oxford, LSE and other top universities.
