CCSS boarding houses - the best in Cambridge
CCSS offers a range of high quality boarding options to satisfy all needs and tastes.
To help you decide, choose Batim House or Hope House for a fully comprehensive experience, Scholars House for more of an independent collegiate environment or St Barnabas House or The Stables for a more traditional boarding experience.
All student rooms are well appointed, with superfast hard-wired broadband. Many have en-suite facilities. Students personalise their rooms and enjoy a great atmosphere, great friendship, great support and great results.
Batim House (girls) £5,995 Per Term
Batim House has 26 ensuite single rooms, located opposite the Anglia Ruskin University and near to Parker’s Piece, the ever-popular parkland in central Cambridge.
The Batim private dining room ensures top quality provision; fresh ingredients characterise every menu and the choice reflects all tastes.
As with all our Houses, and unlike many colleges’ boarding houses, Batim is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and students are able to be in the House at any time.
The communal spaces have been enhanced by our team of interior designers to provide a fresh contemporary living space.
Hope House (boys) from £5,100 Per Term
Hope House is our newest boarding House and provides 25 single rooms with either ensuite or shared-ensuite bathrooms of extremely high standard.
It enjoys a beautiful aspect overlooking The Botanical Gardens.
Hope House has its own private dining room, providing exceptional levels of catering to our students.
The larger ensuite room are £5995 per term, and the rooms that have shared-ensuite facilities are £5100 per term.
Scholars House £4,600 Per Term
Scholars is the largest of the CCSS boarding Houses with 56 single ensuite rooms. These are divided into two sections, each providing separate accommodation for boys and girls.
Scholars House has a modern twist on the classic Cambridge University layout of a peaceful central court providing an attractive outlook for the student rooms that overlook it.
It benefits from the multicultural variety of Mill Road and shares the main college restaurant facilities with St Barnabas House.
The Stables £4,200 Per Term
The Stables is a historic building that was once the home to an architect’s practice and benefits from characterful spacious single rooms, situated adjacent to our restaurant.
The setting is very peaceful in a conservation area, with lovely gardens and lightning fast broadband.
Its single rooms of character are always popular with students.
St Barnabas House £4,200 Per Term
St Barnabas House is a classic of English architecture: a traditional former rectory on the same site as The Stables.
Its newly decorated single rooms are full of character as well as modern technology in the form of fibre broadband connections.
The College restaurant is just behind St Barnabas House a few steps across the landscaped garden area.
