Global Young Leaders Conference Oct. 1, 2008
Tian Sun, upper sixth student at CCSS, was one of just a few British participants to be chosen to attend the Global Young Leaders’ Conference (GYLC) in the US this summer. GYLC is a unique leadership development program that brings together outstanding young people from around the world to build critical leadership skills in a global context.
“Looking back at the most intensive, dramatic and unforgettable twelve days I have ever had in my life, I very much appreciate the support and assistance from CCSS for making all of this possible.”, said Tian.
“We were more than fortunate to visit institutions such as the World Bank, US State Department, the Headquarters of the United Nations as well as various embassies, where we were given the chance to talk to governmental and executive officials, people who make important and influential decisions. This conference strengthened my belief that it is through positive cooperation, unbiased arbitration, mutual understanding and universal humanism, that we can ultimately ease all major disputes and achieve maximized harmony in the world.”
