Art teacher holds exhibition at King’s Dec. 18, 2008
Richard Swift, Head of Fine Art and History of Art at CCSS, has recently held a solo exhibition of his work at the Art Centre of King's College, University of Cambridge.
His paintings of the human body measure 3m x 1m with each figure roughly twice life size. They are made by scraping through layers of acrylic paint to reveal the image. About 200 visitors came to see the show, including some of his students from CCSS. As a result of the exhibition Richard has been selected to show at the public Bury St Edmunds Art Gallery next year.
Work from the series can be seen on permanent public display at Churchill College in Cambridge.
