Involving Parents
We believe strongly in working closely with parents, with formal written reports five times every year and regular contact with tutors and teachers on progress.
The tutor acts as a main point of reference throughout the year, is easily accessible by telephone and e-mail, and is up-to-date on the student’s academic and personal well-being.
We encourage parents to make contact whenever they want to, and we will get in touch quickly if there is anything we need to talk about, rather than waiting until report time.
House Managers, who supervise the College Boarding Houses, also welcome discussions with parents.
Parents’ Days are another valuable opportunity for dialogue. On these occasions parents are offered appointments with subject teachers and with the tutor, with time for private and full discussion of progress and priorities.
Of course, parents are always very welcome to visit us and we will be pleased to arrange meetings with individual teachers at any time.
