Exam Results
Our results
Unlike many schools, CCSS is non-selective and therefore we are very proud of our results. Students come to us with different backgrounds and abilities, but all of them benefit from the individual approach and supportive environment at the College.
The great majority of students graduating from CCSS go on to university in the UK or elsewhere, with many enjoying success at Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, Imperial and other top universities in subjects ranging from International Business to Law and Medicine.

Are these results good?
Yes, we are justly proud of these results. Raw examination results may tell you everything about the student intake and little about the success of a college. As an educational charity, we are academically non-selective. Our students cover the entire spectrum of academic potential from high fliers who will get A* grades to those who get the all-important Bs and Cs for university entrance.
This year was the first year for the A* grade at A-level. Just over 14% of the grades achieved at CCSS in summer 2010 were at A* level as opposed to the national average of 8%.
In all cases, our results show that students benefit greatly from small class sizes, experienced and stimulating teaching, and one-to-one tutorials in all subjects adding tremendous value to each student’s predicted results upon joining CCSS.
