Fees for UK students
CCSS is the only full-boarding independent college in Britain that is operated on a not-for-profit basis.
The trustees’ approach to fees, scholarships and bursaries is based on this not-for-profit principle and all fee income is used to provide the distinctive and very special experience that is found here:
- Teaching facilities in the heart of the university area
- Teaching groups half the size of other independent schools
- Exceptional learning environment with expert teachers
- Top-quality, ensuite boarding in central Cambridge
All of which encourages our students to achieve their very best.

Scholarships
Every year, CCSS trustees determine a scholarship fund in order to help gifted and talented students access our small classes, high-quality teaching and exceptional pastoral support. The value of these merit-based scholarships ranges from 10% to 25% subject to a student’s existing results, and any tests and interview. Parents/guardians seeking a scholarship are required to complete an application form which seeks to establish the academic abilities and potential of their child.
If you would like further information about a scholarship at CCSS please contact our Registrar on +44 (0) 1223 707943 or email [email protected]
Bursaries
In addition to merit-based scholarships, bursaries may also be available to students who would not be able to attend the college without significant financial assistance. Bursaries are means tested and help pay tuition fees. They can contribute to boarding fees in exceptional circumstances.
