Astronomy Through the Ages – Cambridge Science Festival
As part of the Cambridge Science Festival a group of CCSS students visited Christ’s College Cambridge to listen to a talk on ‘Astronomy Through the Ages’. The talk was given by Gary Fildes, the inspirational author and founder, and lead astronomer, of Kielder Observatory. Gary brought humour and anecdotes to a very interesting talk which explored the impact of Astronomy through history and how it has shaped modern scientific practice in the present day.
The talk was followed by a viewing of an art exhibition entitled ‘’ where all the pieces were inspired by Astronomy.
