CCSS Students visit Cambridge Clip ‘n Climb

On Sunday 27 January, 11 students from CCSS headed to Cambridge Clip ‘n Climb for a fun afternoon out. A safety briefing was given to ensure that everyone knew what they were doing, and then we had an hour to explore all the different climbing walls that were on offer. The walls all had varying levels of difficulty meaning there was a challenge for everyone, regardless of ability. Some of the walls had extra features such as they started rotating when you were climbing, or were timed to see how quickly you could climb them.

This meant there was no chance of getting bored as there were so many things to try. A competition started to see how quickly everyone could get to the top of the timed wall. No one was able to match Vincent’s 8 seconds!

There was one wall that no one could quite master, which was the grapevine wall! Everyone tried and were encouraging each other on, but no one was able to reach the top. Everyone is determined to overcome this challenge and master the grapevine wall next time!
