Labour candidate visits CCSS

Daniel Zeichner

CCSS students were lucky enough to enjoy a visit by Labour politician, Daniel Zeichner, on 21st November. Speaking about a range of topics relevant to both Cambridge residents and the wider political scene, Daniel provided everyone with a lot to think about before the next election. Our students played their part by disproving the claim that young people aren’t interested in politics, making sure that Daniel addressed some contentious issues before he left.

Will Salisbury, Politics teacher, said about the event:

‘It was great to see one of our potential elected representatives interacting with CCSS’ first time voter demographic. Politicians with principles, detailing honest answers in a public environment are as ‘rare as hens teeth’ and thus we are extremely grateful to Daniel for his time and sincerity’.
