Model United Nations Training
On 14th November 2018 our lower sixth Model United Nations Club and our Leonardo Scholars students went to the American School in London for a Model United Nations training session.
The American School are organising and hosting the West London Model United Nations conference which will be held on 2nd February 2019 and this training session was to help prepare our students for this event. The Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations where students play the role of delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real world issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned country. At the training session our students had to represent South Sudan, Equatorial Guinea, Iran, Jordan and Sweden. The main topics discussed were Migration and Health; Migrant Safety and Wellbeing; Security Council: Rohingya Crisis; and Sexual Health.
Our students had a fantastic day gaining real world skills, learning about global issues and enhancing their leadership skills.
