The British Biology Olympiad (BBO) is a competition which is open to all students from around the world in post-16 education studying at UK schools or colleges. The BBO challenges and stimulates students who have a real interest in biology and enables them to demonstrate their knowledge. Top students are also rewarded and recognised with certificates for their achievement.

This year’s competition took place at the end of January 2018 and the two CCSS students who took part did extremely well. Having scored in the top 5% of participants, both Pannaree and Ome received a Gold Award.

Sarah Triki-Teurtroy, Pannaree and Ome’s A Level Biology teacher said ‘I am very proud of both Pannaree and Ome’s achievement in the British Biology Olympiad. It is a reflection of their hard work and commitment to pursue knowledge outside of the syllabus
