UCAS’ Cambridge Higher Education Exhibition is coming!
Seeing a college or university through the eyes of a graduate is a great way to gain an insight into just how suitable studying at a certain facility or on a certain course is for you. Attending fairs or exhibitions is an excellent route to a better perspective, meaning you can gather all the information you need to make the best decision.
UCAS has recently released upcoming dates for their fairs and exhibitions, and we thought we’d shine the spotlight on why attending a UCAS fair is important. We will also reveal more details on when the latest higher education exhibition is on its way to Cambridge.
The benefits of attending a UCAS fair
UCAS fairs are back for another year. There are almost 50 higher education conventions, meaning students planning the next step in their academic careers can discover the options right for them. There are many benefits that go hand-in-hand with attending a UCAS fair in your area. With many of the country’s universities attending these fairs you can get talking to lots of universities all in one place. That’s right, you don’t have to tour the entire country to get information on each one.
In addition to visiting each university’s stand to collect prospectuses and request further information about open days, the university’s representatives will be on hand to answer any queries you may have as a prospective student. As Year 12 student Mollie Georgia explains, no question is too small when visiting a UCAS fair and speaking to universities first-hand:
“When I first started looking at universities for the course I want to do, everywhere did it and I literally wanted to go to every single open day, which is pretty much impossible. Going to a UCAS convention meant I could ask important questions like ‘Is it a campus uni?’, ‘What are the living costs?’, and ‘Can I bring a car?’, and the answers to those questions helped me decide on a smaller number of unis I wanted to go and see.”
You’re in luck – the Cambridge event is just around the corner!
Whether you are a CCSS student or currently studying at another college or education facility in the area, heading down to UCAS’ Cambridge event is a must if you’re looking to attend university next year. Held at the Rowley Mile Conference Centre in Suffolk on Monday 17th June 2019 from 9.30am-2.30pm, the exhibition ensures prospective students can see what universities around the country and in the immediate area have to offer.
Those attending will hear from visiting exhibitors, get the chance to speak with current students and find out what life is really like on campus. The Cambridge Higher Education Exhibition will also host inspirational talks, interactive stands and topical seminars, so you can receive the advice and support you need in all areas, not just when selecting the right university place. You’ll find information on applying as well as selecting a university, subject, and career path.
